Justin Farrance trained and qualified as a lawyer at Allen & Overy before pivoting his career to become the firm’s first ever Ambassador for DE&I globally. His role includes supporting the senior leaders, internal stakeholders, the firm’s global offices and clients to continue the firm’s intentions to build DE&I collaborations and help to fully embed A&O’s focus on diversity internationally.
As a state school educated, first generation university student and gay man in law, Justin sees his difference and diversity as a superpower. As a result of his experiences, Justin founded GROW Mentoring, a charity promoting greater inclusion in law for more than 4000 people worldwide. Justin’s passion is to share how holding back due to fear can negatively impact performance. When in contrast, the power of finding your internal confidence and taking control of the inner voice can unleash your talent. Justin is the recipient of the U.K Prime Minister’s Commonwealth Points of Light Award, was named the #1 Future Leader in the UK at the British LGBT Awards and recognised as a Top Global LGBTQ+ Trailblazers by Attitude.
